Star Wars: The Last Jedi Bladebuilders Lightsaber

January 14, 2018

Today we’re taking a look at the cool new Star Wars: The Last Jedi Lightsaber from the Bladebuilder toy line. We would like to thank Hasbro for sending us this to take a look at.

First up, the box for this is huge and follows the standard open style packaging allowing for demo play. Like earlier released Star Wars Bladebuilder sets, this comes with various parts allowing you to choose your side, weather you want to be a Jedi Knight or a Sith Lord.

Once we opened up the Lightsaber, we switched from demo to full action. The set contains 1 standard Lightsaber, 1 Sith attachment and 1 Jedi attachment. The Lightsaber has 1 large red button when pressed upwards which omits the vibrant blue Jedi beam and omits the sinister red beam when pressed downwards. Real Lightsaber sounds are played from a simple press of the button to more action packed sounds when swinging the lightsabre in battle. Little SETC had hours of fun dressing up as his favourite character Kylo Ren playing with this.

If the mood should take you, the Jedi and Sith attachments can be attached to the bottom of the hand to result in a full Jedi or Sith Lightsaber. The attachments are simply slide onto the bottom and then twist until it clicked into position. The Jedi handle has an added button which extends a smaller blade while displaying only blue Light and the Sith handle has 4 Red blades extend with only red light being displayed. The favourite combination was definitely the Sith Saber with Little SETC as he felt it was more like Kylo Ren’s lightsabre. Extra attachments can be purchased separately to create different style lightsabers for even more fun.

The Lightsaber toys have come along way since their initial release years ago and now throwing in the ability to create your own adds more fun. Little SETC totally recommends this and we can’t wait to buy more parts going forward. Very Recommended.
